Itineraries
A day in Constanța
On foot, 4–6 hours. You start in Ovidiu Square and finish on the seafront. Museum hours are on the sheets and on their sites, not here. If it rains, keep to interiors; if it is a heatwave, keep to shade and the Aquarium; if it is winter, keep the jacket and the Casino on the breakwater.
Morning, the peninsula
Ovidiu Square: the statue, the axis towards the mosque, the ruins under the stone. The History Museum (MINAC) if it is open - 60–90 minutes for a look, 20 if you are racing to Tropaeum the same day (do not race). The Roman mosaic building is next door, when it can be visited. Tickets are bought on the spot, if they are open.
Towards midday
The Carol I Mosque, exterior or interior after etiquette. The archaeological park. The descent to Tomis Harbour: boats, public quay, the horizon line. Do not enter the commercial port.
Afternoon
The Casino, the Genoese lighthouse, the seafront. The Casino restoration has its own page - you see it from outside, not from the building site. If you still have energy, Mamaia is a bus ride, not a walk-on.
Rain variant
MINAC, the Art Museum, the Aquarium, a covered coffee. The styles walk and the interwar one can be cut to shopfronts and façades, under the eaves.
Food, without a list
Look for pie in the morning, fish or a soup at lunch, something hot in the evening in winter. The food guide says what to ask, not where to book.
How not to spoil it
Do not cram Histria, Mamaia and Tropaeum into the same day. A day in Constanța is a day in Constanța. The steppe sites deserve their own morning, not a leftover slot.
