History
Milița Petrașcu, trained in Paris in the circle of Constantin Brâncuși, worked the monument of the 13th Artillery Regiment: a sober piece, for a unit that held the front in the First World War and remained in the memory of the army in the first half of the 20th century.
The setting, with the Black Sea close, ties the artillery to Dobruja, not to an inland field. The plinth and the figure are read from the paths; it is not an ensemble with parade steps.
Take five minutes, read the dedication and move on to the other military monuments in the city, if you are keeping a history route, not a beach one.
