History
In 1968, fifty years after the Union of 1918, a monument by Boris Caragea was unveiled in front of the House of Culture. The plinth and the figures remember both world wars, not only the anniversary. It is public-square bronze, visible from the boulevard.
On 1 December wreaths are laid; for the rest of the year people pass it on the way to events or the bus. It is worth three minutes standing in front, to read the inscriptions and see how it sits against the building.
Combine it with a walk toward the cliff or the parks in the area. In the evening it is lit; by day it is better to photograph, without long shadows on the faces.
