Family and access

Seniors' guide

A slow pace, benches, shade, toilets. Prefer the seafront and the museums. Gravel sites need time, not speed. Dobrogea is low, but the stone, the sun and the wind tire you like a hill.

Towns that hold

The Constanța peninsula, with pauses. The Tulcea promenade. Compact Mangalia. Eforie on the seafront, off-season. A museum with a chair in every room beats a fortress "because it is close to the car park".

Sites, if you want

Tropaeum is seen from ground level. Histria needs more steps on gravel - an hour is enough, not the whole circuit. Enisala has a climb. Choose one, in the morning, with water and a hat.

Heatwave and winter

A July midday is for indoors. The January seafront is for a jacket and 40 minutes, not three hours. The benches on the breakwater are cold.

Toilets

Plan before the site. Museums, malls, stations, some harbour restaurants. Not "we'll see at Histria".

Transport

Train, a station taxi, fewer packed minibuses. The Delta boat has thresholds - ask the operator. Accessibility, where it has been checked, sits on the sheet.
