Luna Park Mamaia (Holiday Village)
The beach season has closed (after 15 September). On the coast it is autumn/cold: promenade, museums, towns. Not bathing weather. Lifeguard, showers and sunbeds — only in the bathing season (1 June–15 September).
Hours and fees are indicative. Confirm them on site or on the official website.
History
Before the luna park, the place at the entrance to Mamaia was called the Holiday Village: an entertainment complex from the socialist period, with alleys, kiosks and a place for evening walks. On the same ground today run carousels, shooting galleries and summer music.
The day is for children; at night it fills with teenagers and people coming off the beach. It is not elegant and does not claim to be. It is noise, candyfloss and a Ferris-wheel turn if you catch a short queue.
Leave the car farther off and come on foot from Aqua Magic or from the bus. Keep small change to hand and set a meeting point: in the evening people are easily lost.
