History
On a high coast between Constanța and Mangalia, the Tuzla lighthouse was raised in the time of Carol I, around 1900, and began to shine a year later. It has remained in service since: a white tower, visible from far off, still used today by ships that keep the shoreline.
In the project appear names tied to the maritime works of the age, including Saligny's circle, then also occupied with Cernavodă. The signals - lights, a Morse-type rhythm - have changed several times; modernisations were made in 1957 and 1972, without cutting its silhouette.
You can see it from the coast road or from the village. The area is partly military, so do not enter the technical platform. The best angle is from the cliff, at sunset, when the tower draws itself on the sky.
